Santa Cruz Bolivia

I waited long time for the my flight. It was about 4,5 hours. My flight was delay. After taking off. I spent only 30 min for the arriving.

If I took the bus. It took more than 12 hours. So I choosed airplane. In Sant Cruz, this is so hot. It's about 30℃. It was a so cold in any other city that I went. Because this city is located around equator. And this is in low place. I moved to central by bus. About 30 min. I often saw church. But I was excited when I saw the light up church.

 In my hostel, there is funny bird.

It always became the innocent face. This is very rare for me. So I took many photos. Then I sit the chair to the confirm. At that time I sit on the lost things by bird. My pant was became dirty. I hated the bird at this time. I was going back to North America. Next is NY!

Sucre Bolivia

Do you know the Sucre? This isn't famous for foreigner. But this city is capital city of Bolivia by constitution. Actually, capital function was moved to La Paz. I went to Sucre. From Potosi it takes 4,5 hour by bus. I took this. In the bus, I had Stomachache. Maybe it was caused by lunch. I hoped to get off. But I couldn't. So I endured by  pinching the thighs. Then bus was arrived sucre. I found the hostel. After check in I slept . Next day I went around central. I found Japanese bus.

 This is fitness clubs one. After working in Japan, this bus has worked in here. Yesterday I haven't eat since last night. So take the lunch. I guess I had stomachache by eggs. This day I ate lunch plate without eggs.

There are some dish like this in Peru and Bolivia. At night I saw the lightup church.

 I spent much time for taking break. Few days later... I moved to the Santa Cruz. This is final destination in Bolivia and South America. I left the Sucre by airplane.

This is Sucre airport. Building is  as large as Community center. And there isn't restaurant. This is not confortable. But I like this. Because I can't see airport like this in Japan. I was excited.

Potosi Bolivia

I got to the Potosi for the mine sightseeing. On the way to Potosi.

 I saw this sign. Be careful for Alpaca. I thought there is no Alpaca. But I saw some wild Alpaca then. In Potosi, I joined the mine tour.

 Mine is in 4000m place. It's so high. And I enter the mine. It will be more cold. This is the entrance. I was worried about this mine. Because there are some water on the ground. And there is no light. I walk to the dead end. But this way was so long. It spent about 1 hour for the walking. At last I saw the worker.

 They were working for finding the silver. By the way you can buy the right for dig. Then I saw the festival.

 It's a dancing one. This day, everybody dance whenever. At first in my trip, I didn't want to come here. But I recommend all of my friends here.

Uyuni Salt Lake

I went to three places in this day. First one is....  

This one. This is the graveyard train. Many trains come here after finished to work. This place is included in Uyuni lake tour. This is amazing view for me. Because I can't see this view in Japan. I took the a lot of picture in here. So I spent the cameras battery. I didn't know, I can see good view after this. I move to small village. This is second place. This village has many gift shop. And they has cheaper gifts. I bought some gifts in here. Then I went to Uyuni salt lake.

 Uyuni salt lake has famous view like millar. But this is not millar. Because this was the dry season. But guide said there are millar view in somewhere. So we tried to find this. We spent long time for finding. Finally We found this.

 Millar view has some face. It's caused by time, wheather and place. And in Uyuni you can see good night view. I saw the milky Way. I recommend you stay one night in here.

Awaji Island

Awaji island is taken 2 hours by a car from Kyoto.
When you go there, you can take Akashi-channel-bridge that joins Awaji-island with Akashi-city.
And you can go over to Tokushima by Naruto-bridge
In the island, they have good natures and enjoy fishing having swimming and hit regional events or seasonal events

Uyuni ViIlage

I went to Bolivia for going to Uyuni salt lake. So I spent only one night 1 La paz. And I left at night. Time requiring is about 12 hours. So I'll arrive the Uyuni in the morning. By the way, bus was stoped on midnight. In Bolivia , this situation is not rare. I didn't realize at that time this is big problem. About 2 hour later, bus didn't move. And I heard the metallic sound. So I went out the bus.

 Bus was broken. Maybe it was the punk. Some staff tried to repair. But It spent long time. Cooler was turned off when they repaired. Temperature is less than 0℃. So   interior temperature is cold. After all, repairing spent about 4 hours. So I arrived the Uyuni in the noon. Uyuni is very small village.

This is the main street in front of station. I was looking for the tourism company. There are about 30 company in Uyuni. I compared the price. And I choosed vest conditions. I looked forward to going Uyuni salt lake.

Short Trip to Mie Part 2

On the second day I visited Ise in Mie.
In Ise there is a famous shrine.
The shrine is called The Grand Shrine of Ise.

This year 2013 is a special year for this shrine.
There is an event witch is called Shikinen Sengu（式年遷宮）.
They have this event every 20 years.


On the year of Shikinen Sengu the buildings of the shrines get renewed.
New building are built right next to old ones.
On this special occasion there are lots of visiters there.


The gate in the photo is also newly built one.

This store house is one of the new buildings.
In the site there are so many newly built things.


The site of the shrine is quite big so it was very nice to enjoy walking and seeing new buildings there.


Close to the shrine there is the head store of Akaｆuku（赤福）

Akafuku is Japanese confectionery.
It is one of the most popular souvenirs in Mie.

My trip to Mie was only for 2days but I really enjoyed it.

Bolivia La paz

In the morning I was in bus terminal. But I didn't have bus ticket. Because I knew we can get the ticket in current day . When I went there. Somebody said `La paz~~~~~~ Lapaz~~~~~` `Cusco~~~~~~Cusco~~~~~~`. I negotiated with them. Then I got cheap ticket. It spent 2,3 hour to border. After arriving, we took embarkation .

 Then I said `Good bye` for Peru beer.

This is border of Peru and Bolivia. I didn't feel the border from this. Some local people cross the border without procedure. I was waiting for bus driver in front of bus. Some guys tried to open the door. But it's not opened. Then driver came back. And pushed the key for the door. But it's not open. This is broken.  He tried to open. Few time later, It's opened. And bus trip was started again. Few hour later, I got off the bus. We need to cross the river.

Ship was so old and small. And ship was Inundated little bit.

Bus was crossed by ship too. Then I ride bus again.

I often found Japanese car in Bolivia. Maybe some old Japanese car go to Bolivia from Japan. I Arrive Lapaz! This was long bus trip. I'll going to Uyuni.

Lake Titicaca

I arrived the Puno. Puno has the Lake Titicaca. This lakes height is about 4000m. This is tallest lake in the world. I took booking for Titicaca tour. In the morning, We went to port.

And we rode the ship. About 2,3 hour later. We arrived the Uronic Island.

This island made by plant. This island is large as twice  of school class.  There are about 10 people They live in here. We stay about 30 min.

 Then we went to the Amantani Island. In this island I stayed local people's house.

This is my room and this is kitchen. I ate dinner and breakfast in here. I broke the stomach. Next day, I went to the  Taquile Island. This island is good place for hiking. I found this.

This is distance to Tokyo. I'm amazing that I can see this kind of sign. I went back to Puno. This is final day in Peru. Next country is Bolivia.

Machu Picchu②

I spent about 2 hour for climbing. It's hard for me. But I thought, this is test for good view. I arrived the entrance of Machu Picchu at 6 am. When I entered, staff checked the ticket and our passport. If you go there, you should hold these things. If you have International student card, you can get discount ticket. (50% discount). I walked about 5 min from entrance.

 I found famous view. And this.

This is not easy way to Machu Picchu. But I forgot everything when I saw this. I walked around here. I found Alpaca.

It's so cute. I tried to take picture with. But it moved when I took picture. After sightseeing, I went back to Cuzco by same way. This is tough tour, but I spent good time. Next day, I was looking for the bus ticket to next city. Tour company's staff said 70 sol (About 10USD). But I wanted to buy half price. So I said about local price. And I propose arm wrestling. He accepted this. The results... I won. I got the bus ticket by half price.

Next day, I moved to the next city.

Short Trip to Mie Part 1

This summer I went on a short trip to Mie in Japan.
On the first day i visited Toba city in Mie.
It took about 2 and a half hours to Toba from Kyoto by Train.


Toba is right close to the sea.
So sea food in Toba is so nice. 

This photo is the lunch there.

The fish are fresh and I ate raw ones.
They are too delicious to describe.


Toba has a big aquarium.

It is one of the biggest ones in Japan so there are lots of marine lives.

I will introduce most impressive ones.
The first one is the performance show of a sea lion.

The sea lion catches the soccer ball which the trainer kicked with his nose.
Moreover he played the piano with his nose.
He was so handy and the show was interesting.

The second one is sea otters.

I saw them being fed.
The way of feeding was unique.

First, the breeder throw squid against the glass.
Then the sea otters jump to get the squid.
The way the sea otters hunt their food was exciting.


I enjoyed the first day of my trip in Toba.
