Rabbit shrine, Okazaki-jinaja shrine(岡崎神社, おかざきじんじゃ)

Yeah, a rabbit. It's cute.

Behind a rabbit there was a monster. Oh, dangerous.

I'm just kidding. It's not a monster. Actually that sculpture is a sort of a protector for the shrine. Almost all shrines have the protectors in front of a main buildings, and they are placed on the left and right side or that buildings, like watching the approaches.

Oh, I don't mention about the protector called Komainu(狛犬). I wanted to write about the shrine with rabbits. The rabbit is the symbol of Okazaki shrine. They are also a kind of protectors. It's written they can help you to avoid evil spirits, meet a nice boy/girl friend, and get a baby. I don't know if good luck will come or not. But anyway they are so cute! Yeah, the good luck is just the bells and whistles!
