An expected happy thing

We had a good news few days ago.
The guy on the picture who was staying at A-yado for 10 days last year came to see us.
When he left at A-yado, we said to him"You're going to live in Kyoto. So please come to see us any time". But we didn't expect that he really came to see us. So we were really happy and moved.
Also he brought us a present.
It's a well-known brand of sweets in Kyoto.

It's very tasty and we thought that his choice of present was being like people from Kyoto. We think he is getting used to staying in Kyoto.

"Thank you very much. We hope you will enjoy Kyoto's life and come to see us again!!"

We always hope that we can keep in touch with the guests like him after staying at A-yado.

Japanese Treasures on Special Exhibitions

This free paper is about special exhibitions of Japanese treasures in this winter. Kyoto has a lot of national treasures, and some of them are non-public. In the winter event you can enter the temple to watch them. Yeah, that's special!

Opening the free paper there's the information. I know some, yet don't know everything on the page.

They look very nice! A golden Buddhism sculpture and a big red kitchen. Actually the right one is a kitchen space. Wow, I should take a look.

Kyoto is in winter. So cold. But there're a lot of things worth seeing! Enjoy!!

Curry and Rice ~the Most Lovable Food in Japan~

It looks very tasty. Japanese loves curry and rice, especially one with pork cutlets. India is a famous country for the curry and rice. Everyday curry and rice, yeah, it's a paradise to me.

Here's the Japanese technology. It's an elevator for dishes from 1st floor. The black door will open when it comes. Nice. They can bring everything to serve by it.

This is the curry and rice restaurant nearby. The sign is a gorilla. The taste is good, and paying 650 yen will make you full. The first picture, curry and rice with pork cutlets is for 650 yen. Not so expensive.

The name of the restaurant is "Go Go Curry". Maybe they cheer for Curry!

Our guest is keen on football

The guy who checked in today was wearing Japanese football uniform.

Do you know whose uniform is?
If you know that, you will be Japan hand.

The answer is Honda who plays for CSKA Moscow.
He is one of the best player in Japan.

Well, do you know why our guest was wearing  this uniform today.
Yeah, Japanese football match will be held in Kobe tonight.
Our guest was going to Kobe to watch this game tonight.
But he didn't have a ticket and  when i told him that the ticket were sold out, he was disappointed. Because he bought this uniform yesterday. Just for today.
But there is this football match on TV tonight.
He can watch it with his uniform.
We'll cheer for Japan team together.

Subtle Colored Sunset and Buddhism Sculptures

The sun is about to set to the west. The street has just a few people and cars waiting to go back to their home. It's not very cold, yet the temperature is about 10 degrees centigrade.

That is a Japanese local scenery. Every country has it. And the photo above is, I guess, just taken in Japan. They are stone sculptures which called Ojizou-san. They are sort of Buddhism sculptures. And local people appreciate to them almost everyday. That's why beautiful flowers are in front of them.

Japan has the own character. If you come to Japan, please look for them!

Before Setsu-bun Festival in Kyoto, Japan

I walked pass the shrine named Kumano-jinja Shrine. It's a local shrine in Kyoto. Usually there's almost no people. But, on the day, 2nd, it was a bit crowded. 3rd or February is the day for Setsu-bun Festival(節分祭).  They prepared for the festival.



I listened to the music. It was just from speakers... But, the atmosphere was very nice.

Setsu-bun Festival is one of the most popular festivals of Japan. When you find Oni, which is a Japanese ogre, please throw roasted beans to expel it. It's fun!

This is the only one wallet in the world.
