He is our guest from Turkey.
He has been studying at Tokyo institute of technology as you can see his T-shirt.
Also he likes studying Japanese and knows many Kanji(漢字 Chinese character).
When i talked to him about Kanji, he asked me"Do you know how you write Turkey in Kanji?"
I was thinking about that for a while. But nothing came to my mind.
So i asked him the answer.
Actually i was bit embarrassed. Because i'm Japanese. I should have answered this question.
But i wanted to know that more than my feeling.
After that he wrote me Kanji of Turkey on the papaer.
It was "土耳其(土耳古)".
It is easy Kanji. But i think it is hard to read as Turkey.
So I really respect him. Also i appreciate that he taught me new Kanji.
"Thank you!! When you come back to Kyoto one day, i will teach you Kanji next time!!"

actually, the kanji is 土耳其
Thank you for your correction! We will let the staff, Taku, know about it.
Oh, Turkey is, originally, 土耳其 in China. In Japan 土耳古 is OK to use, right? I should look for the information on the internet. Because it's so difficult! Thank you very much for your comment.
