Gion corner(ギオンコーナー, ぎおんこーなー) is really good place to watch the maiko(舞妓, まいこ) show. In the show they are dancing, playing and singing. You will enjoy them, if you're interested in Japanese culture or beautiful things.
Maiko girl is an apprentice of geiko(芸妓, げいこ) which is almost the same meaning of geisha(芸者, げいしゃ). They are very talented and practice the arts everyday. They make up with face powder. And those makeup are very fascinating on a stage under a spot light.
