Kamo-gawa River at the beginning of summer

It's the beginning of summer in Kyoto.
Feeling hot and humid, we can remember that this city will get hotter in August than in May (It's still in May today).

And looking at sort of a summer event in the following picture, we are loving summer again.

It's called Noryo-yuka (納涼床, のうりょうゆか).  They are wooden terraces to enjoy dinner or lunch in the cool breezes just in summer. They are connected to various restaurants, which serve you for Japanese, Chinese, Thai, and Korean cooking.

And also, Kamo-gawa River(鴨川, かもがわ) itself is a good refreshment to get out from heat.
Please take a dip in the river!
