New credit card?

When you pay accommodation expenses at A-yado, you can use credit cards of "VISA" or "Master Card".

When i looked on the wall few days ago, i found new sticker at the bottom of the sticker of "VISA""Master Card".

It is written "LE GUIDE CYRARD" on the sticker.
It means "A guide of CYRARD" in French.
But i don't know what this is.

First i thought this was a new credit card. Because it was at the bottom of the sticker of "VISA""Master Card".
So i checked it on the internet if it is a new credit card.
But i couldn't find any information of that.
And i realized that it wasn't a credit card and this sticker might have been made by backpackers.
I think it's too late to realize about that. Hahahaha..................

If somebody know about this sticker , please let me know.
I really would like to know about that.
Pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!

Ajari-mochi(阿闍梨餅, あじゃりもち), sweet bean paste in a rice cake

When you come to Japan, you will definitely enjoy the food. Because Japan has so many variety of foods, and on a streets there are various types of restaurants. Some are very traditional and old style, and some are totally new. And also, you will find the food belonging to your country :) Yeah, so many!

It's not a temple, but looks like a temple. The structure and texture of wooden wall is like a temple.

Actually, it's a sweet shop. You may know anko(餡子, あんこ) which is a Japanese traditional sweet. You can call it sweet bean paste. And this sweet shop has a tasty rice cake.

Yes, that's it! I loooooove it!! Sometimes I want to eat it as many as I want, like 10 pieces or 20.

The inside is also good. You can get some information in the shop. Yes, they have an information space.

When I looked up, I found the high ceiling. And when I was waiting for my order, they served me for a cup of Japanese tea. It's a good idea to welcome and relax people. Watching the ceiling, I enjoy the time to wait.

Well, then I got 12 rice cakes. 3 are for a present for my boss. 4 will be sent to my friend.
And.. I can eat  5 rice cakes! :P I will be full, when I will be done it!

The Kyoto city bus runs at night, ~Local scenery~

I released my breath, and I sit down on a vacant seat with my friend. A bus was not so crowded. I said to my friend who is Nepali.

"Hey, you got tired? We went to 2 shrines and 1 temple, didn't we?"

"You are wrong. We went to 2 temples and 1 shrine. I'm so sure."

"OK. Oh, do you have small? I have to exchange the bill."

"Yes, I prepared everything."

He is very smart.

The fare of a bus is 220 yen per ride. I had to exchange my bill to pay the fare. And going back to the seat, I asked my Nepali friend that this scenery was special to you or not?

Then he asked.
"Sure, everything is so bizarre and special. So I can enjoy them everyday."
"Well, the inside bus is also special to you?"
"Sure, the city where I was born doesn't have a bus. You know?"
"OK."

Yeah, if you come to Kyoto, Japan. You will find special things in every scenery.
Please tell me your story! We are very interested in it!

My favorite bread

Sometimes our staff of head office bring us some food.
Because we are always hungry and wait for food all the time.
We are just glutton.

Few days ago, one of staff brought me this bread.
When i saw it, i was surprised. Because it was my favorite one.
I thought "How does she know my favorite one?"
(Actually she didn't know about that.)
When i go to convenience store, i always look for this bread.
But it is really hard to find at our nearest store.
So i was very happy to have it.

This bread calls "Marron&Marron".
There are many whip & custard cream inside. And taste is like chestnut.
It's very delicious. I would like to recommend it to everyone.

If you come to Japan, please try to find it!!
I think you'll love it !!

Chion-in temple(知恩院, ちおんいん) with the moon late at night

It's one of the gateways of Chion-in temple(知恩院, ちおんいん). The orange light is shining on the right side. In front of the gateway there is a small river. The name is Shira-kawa river. That is also nice. But at night you can't see the stream X(

I walk up the slope after the gateway. And I watch up the building.

It's almost just a shade. Behind it the moon is shining. I can't watch the moon itself, but can see the halo. I like the humbleness.

And suddenly I found this poster on the wall of a shop across the temple. That said "The illumination will be held on 2th/Nob to 2th/Dec at Chion-in temple".

I'm really lucky!! I will go to watch it, and of course recommend it to guests, If it's amazing!!

Local supermarket in Kyoto with sashimi(刺身, さしみ) and miso(味噌, みそ)

You have to eat to maintain your health condition and satisfy your hunger. It should not be harmful, and it should be cheap. Three times in a day, you eat something. You could skip your breakfast, but better to eat than without it. Oh, but don't worry. We provide a piece of bread at every morning. for free. You can use free margarine and drink free tea and coffee :) 

In any cases you have to eat. Then, why don't you try to go to a Japanese supermarket. You will find typical types of Japanese food which are always in our daily lives. 

Sashimi!!

If you don't mind to eat raw fishes, that'a one of the best wonderful foods. After evening they will discount them to sell out :D

They look very tasty, don't they? At least from my view they do!

Miso in a plastic box!
Miso(味噌, みそ) is made from soybeans. Soybeans contain many nutrition. And  you can cook it without boiling. Please put hot water with it in a bowl and stir it.. It's also OK.

The foods are one of good factor to observe the culture.
OK, we will recommend some of them!

I like both, Sashimi and miso soup. Well, if you don't like both, we have some ideas about it.
I'm so sure Japan has many delicious foods. One of them will be very tasty also for you!!

Dress up!!

Our guests  always dress up when they go out at night.

The picture of the girl tried to wear a bow tie.
But she couldn't wear it by herself.
So her friend helped her wearing it.

I asked them "Where were you guys going with dress up ?"
And they said "Izakaya(居酒屋）".

Izakaya is a type of Japanese drinking establishment which also serve food to accompany the drinks.

Normally when Japanese people go to Izakaya, we don't dress up at all.
So it's really fresh for me.
I think foreigners are more fashionable than Japanese when they go out.
They always care about their fashion.
We have to learn about that.

Thank you for reminding me about that!!
When i go to Izakaya next time, i'll dress up like them!!
