Incense Stick, which Called Senko(線香)

If you find this kind of incense sticks in temples, why don't you try to make wish for the health of you or somebody else, for your dream coming true, or the peace of your family. Every incense in the photo have the own meaning and their own good effects.

Firstly, please get one incense. You can put 100 yen in a box to buy the incense on the honor system. 

Secondly, please put the top of your incense on fire.

Thirdly, put your incense on a incense burner like the photo.

And, forth, make your wish, please.

That's it! Regardless of the wish or dream coming true, if you wish something and believe it, your feeling will be getting better, right?

Of course, I tried it. And of course I love it!

Quiz Game from Japan

Here's a picture of a stone rabbit. It's in a temple in Kyoto. It's looking up at the cloudy sky, as if wishing something. it's cute.

Here's a photo of the answer. It has a ball. The answer is "a part of a stone sculpture of a rabbit". Too hard. Sorry. Maybe that's a bad quiz.

I have a good tip about the rabbit. It's in Mimurodo-ji temple in the southern part of Kyoto. The spherical part has 2 halls. When you put your hand inside, you can touch a oval stone ball, which is down. If you make it keep standing, you will get lucky and healthy. 

Yeah, it's very hard to handle! But, please try! 

I like a quiz, though it's really hard. And also I like this kind of play! O.K. let me try!

Hokkaido(北海道)④

There are many lakes in Hokkaido.
I went to four lakes in my trip.
I write about that today.

first one is...

This is the Onneto lake.
This lake is located in the national park. You can feel nature if you go to Onneto lake.

Second one is...

This is the Akanko lake.
Akanko is famous place about marimo.

Marimo is algae ball. Marimo's shape is cute. So people likes it. And around Akanko lake, there are many Hotspring hotel.

Third one is...

This is the Kussharo lake.
I think, this lake's view is best. Lake is big. I can see mountain that is located over the lake.

Would you like to feel about lake's different ?

Super Nice Guys from Australia with Cute Animal

If you get a present from oversea, are you happy? Of course, If I do, I'm very happy!!

They are from Australia. Their smiles are super nice! Really outgoing and friendly!

The guy on the right in the photo has something small. Yeah, the photo is blared. Sorry for my bad technique to take a photo...  But, you might know the thing he has. What is a cute animal in Australia? 

The answer is koala!

Yeah, the super nice guys gave us a koala. And the koala is also super nice. 

Now it's in our reception. Of course cute.

 Yeah, his friends too. Every koala has the own taste. other ones were gave by our guests from Australia too.

By the way, why Australian is so nice when they give us a koala? I guess they love koalas, and they know we love koalas. Yes, me too!!

A Hotel Woman from Germany

She is our guest from Germany.


Excuse me for being personal, but I am planning to travel to Germany this September.
So I asked her, "Do you know any good places to visit in Germany?"
She answered, "You should stay at my place."

???

First I did not understand her intention.

Then she told me that she and her family is running a hotel in Germany.
She recommended me that I should stay there.


Her hotel locates in Herrieden.
She said to me, "I will show you nearby sight-seeing places such as Rothenburg and Nürnberg by car. "
It was a very helpful offer for me.
This offer made me think her hotel very attractive.


My travel plan has not been fixed but I would like to stay at the hotel.
She gave me a business card of the hostel, which she has in the photo, so I can book her hotel anytime.


At A-yado I made a new connection with a foreign guest again.
This hostel is a good place to get to know people from foreign countries.
When you stay at this hostel, please try talking to new people without being shy.

Perfect name for summer

Here in Kyoto, it is very hot today.
It's about 36 degrees.
When i went out, i felt like melting.
I really would like to go for a drink such as today.
When i thought about that, one of our guests checked in.

I was surprised when he filled out the registration card.
Because his name is Beer.
I think it's really cool name and perfect for summer.
I asked him "Do you like beer?" and he answered "I do like beer. Especially, German beer is good!!".
I was really glad when i heard about that.
Also his name felt relieving my thirst.
But it's not enough for me.
I really would like to drink beer now...........

Can someone work instead of me?
No, No, it's joking. hahaha.................

Illuminated Floor along Beautiful River

Getting hot in summer. If your country has the high temperature and humidity, the city's summer should be very hard to live. Kyoto has about 38 degrees centigrade and humid air. And yet I love summer.

In the late evening, when I walked along Kamo Riv. I was looking at the lights of illuminated floors, being touched by cool breezes. At night, Kyoto is still hot. But if you go out after your dinner, then you will catch the winds.

The lights are in dark shade as if they are floating. And the river reflects them all the time at night. On the floor people are drinking and chatting. 

Looking at the lights, imagining smiling and laughing, I came to talk with somebody. No, no, I'm not lonely ;(  I just love people in their happy lives. And I wanted to tell they looked happy.

Now I'm telling it to you! That's all I wanted to do :)
